At Catnap we constantly make efforts to reduce the lead content of our jewelry by purchasing lead-free pewter elements as well as designing our jewelry (especially earrings) where these elements do not come in contact with a person's skin.  We try to use stainless steel wires (hoop earrings) and stainles or surgical steel earwires as much as possible.

The Stae of California does not recommend this type of jewelry for use by children and neither do we.
